The short version: getBylines is a professional tool for media workers, creators, and student media makers worldwide. Use it honestly, use it for your own work, and respect that every other member using it has the same right to a private, walled vault that only they can see.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and iSHARATH Labs ("we", "us", "our"), a company based in India, governing your use of the getBylines mobile application ("the App").
By creating an account or using the App in any way, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. For users in the EU, EEA, and UK, applicable consumer and data protection laws of your jurisdiction may provide additional protections that these Terms do not limit or override.

The App is available globally to English-speaking users and is provided on a subscription basis. Features available to you depend on your subscription tier. We reserve the right to modify features with reasonable notice where material changes affect paid subscribers.
You agree to use getBylines only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
You retain full ownership of all content you add to your vault, including URLs, roles, notes, and exported reports. By using the App, you grant iSHARATH Labs a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you. We claim no ownership of your published work.
getBylines fetches publicly available metadata and, where official integrations support it, engagement metrics from third-party platforms and displays them as received. YouTube is the supported official metrics source for Phase 01. Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, Medium, publisher sites, and ordinary web pages are treated as metadata-first sources unless and until a separate official metrics integration is enabled. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of metadata or metrics sourced from third-party platforms, as these depend on each platform's own data availability and API policies.

The getBylines application, its design, code, interface, branding, the "getBylines" name, and the "iSHARATH Labs" name are the intellectual property of iSHARATH Labs, protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.
getBylines integrates with YouTube for supported public metrics and with public metadata available from links you intentionally add, including Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, Medium, publisher sites, and ordinary web pages. Your use of these integrations is also subject to those platforms' own terms of service. We are not responsible for changes to third-party APIs, public metadata availability, login-wall behaviour, or platform policies that may affect getBylines' ability to fetch metadata or metrics from those platforms.
getBylines is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that engagement metrics will be accurate at all times, as these depend on third-party API availability.
If AI-assisted responses are introduced in Phase 02, they may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You will remain responsible for reviewing AI-assisted suggestions before relying on them for publication, business, legal, financial, or professional decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, iSHARATH Labs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the current 28-day billing cycle.
EU and UK consumer rights are not affected: Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you have under applicable consumer protection law in the EU, EEA, or UK, including rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive or the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
getBylines is intended for users aged 16 and above. Like most digital services, we rely on self-declaration of age at signup rather than automated verification. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will delete their account promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 16 has created an account, contact us immediately and we will remove it.
You may delete your account at any time from within the App or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your access will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. EU and UK users have the right to terminate without penalty if they do not accept material changes to these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. For unresolved disputes, the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India shall have jurisdiction, subject to the following:
